Stainless Steel 321 sheets (UNS S32100) offered by Mahabali Steel is stabilized alloy which offers as its main advantage an excellent resistance to inter - granular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 Degree F to 1500 Degree F (427 Degree C to 816 Degree C).

It is also advantageous for high temperature service because of its good mechanical properties. Stainless Steel 321 plates is titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel plate with good general corrosion resistance. It was developed for enhanced creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000 Degree F (537 Degree C).

Stainless Steel 321 coils offered by Mahabali Steel cannot be hardened by heat treatment, only by cold working. It can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices. SS 321 sheets are stabilized against chromium carbide formation by the addition of titanium. The alloy can also operate successfully in caustic solutions free of chlorides or fluorides at moderate temperatures. SS 321 coils offers higher creep and stress rupture properties, which might also be considered for exposures where sensitization and inter - granular corrosion are concerns.
